In the ever-evolving landscape of education, a ground-breaking transformation has taken place with the implementation of the New National Education Policy (NEP) 2023. At the heart of this policy lies a revolutionary concept Outcome Based Learning. This paradigm shift is poised to reshape the way students learn, educators teach, and institutions operate. I am proud to state that Olive International School incepted the concept of OBE in the year 2020 almost three years before its initiation by the CBSE. The great visionaries have envisaged an amazing vision for Olive as to be the centre of excellence that provides an environment for holistic and value oriented education thereby developing leaders with wisdom. This was started with an objective to help students become ready for the challenges of the digital age and develop their own potential. It is undoubtedly a paradigm change that has the potential to improve educational system. Outcome Based Learning is a pedagogical approach that places the focus squarely on the desired outcomes or learning objectives. Instead of concentrating solely on the process of teaching, this approach emphasizes what students are expected to know, understand, and be able to do by the end of a course or educational program. Thus, we shift from asking “What was taught?” to asking “What was learned?”

OBE focuses on the development of Academic Competencies, Life Skills, Attitudes and Values thus focusing on the cognitive, conative, psychomotor and emotional aspects of the child, together it helps to bring out the best in the child which enable them to grow up into empathetic, considerate, contributing global citizens. I can proudly announce that our Olivians are being trained and upskilled to face the challenges of the outer world with confidence, determination, resilience, exuberance and enthusiasm.
