TRANSPORT POLICY

  • Transportation facility is subject to availability and priority.
  • The school provides a transport fleet that plies between school and major residential areas.
  • The school does not allow any post/upload in the digital domain that is not aligned with the mission, vision and integrity of the school.
  • Those who wish to avail school transportation facilities should apply in the prescribed form that can be collected from the school office.
  • Bus route and allocation of bus stops to the student is made by the transport supervisor in accordance with the school's guidelines. These guidelines are reviewed annually and may be subject to change. During the first week of the reopening of the school, routes and times are often adjusted to assure timely arrival at school.
  • Any request for change should be intimated one month in advance. Parental requests to change the location of a bus stop will be reviewed by the transport supervisor. The transport supervisor will inform the parent making the request of any approved changes.
  • Students shall be picked up and dropped off at their designated bus stop. No special request pertaining to change shall be entertained other than change of residence.
  • Transport availability on the mapped routes at the beginning of the academic year; maybe subject to change for better service.
  • Children should be ready 5 minutes prior to the scheduled pick-up time. Bus will not wait for any student if he/she is not at the bus stop at the assigned time.
  • Transport fees should be paid in advance for the full term. In case of discontinuation of school transport, the fee will not be refunded.
  • If there is a change of residence during the academic year, transportation facility cannot be guaranteed and is subject to availability.
  • It is compulsory for all students to wear seatbelt while in the bus; standing, running around, shouting, leaning on the driver, talking to the driver etc. are strictly prohibited.
  • Students from KGl to grade 2 will not be dropped- off without a responsible adult to meet them. They will be brought back to the school to await parents.
  • Indiscipline in the school bus will be strictly dealt with and may result in the discontinuation of bus facility. No parents are permitted to collect students from the buses at the school parking area without a gate pass.
  • Students will be barred from using the school transport if they break the rules repeatedly or violate code of conduct.
  • Parents accompanying younger children during school bus pick-up and drop-off are responsible for ensuring their safety and security around the bus area. This includes vigilance in preventing them from running towards or around the bus, thereby ensuring a safe environment for all.
  • The school transport department ensures student safety through regular vehicle inspections and strict adherence to maintenance checks and safety standards.
  • Our transport staff, including drivers and attendants, undergo rigorous training programs to ensure the highest standards of safety and care for our students.
  • All parents using their own transport to drop and pick up their ward should fill the 'Letter of Authorization' to the transport department at the beginning of the session.
